Eating In The Garment District

I partnered with The Garment District to show off some of my favorite spots to chowdown in the area! Each neighborhood in New York City is full an amazing variety of delicious and unique eats, and the Garment District is no different!

Joe’s Pizza is a New York City staple, and serves what is personally my favorite NYC Slice of Za! Everything is bare bones and simple. Sure it comes on a white paper plate, but the flavor cannot be matched! Don’t be fooled by the imitators, go get this slice when you are crazing some Pizza in The Garment District!

Recently opened in the new Moxy Hotel hotel is Tao’s seafood concept, Legasea! You wouldn’t expect anything less from a Tao restaurant than over the top presentation and flavor, and their Spicy Crab Beignets don’t disappoint. They take the traditionally sweet beignet and instead stuff if with a spicy crab salad, and replace the powdered sugar with powdered butter!

Ortzi is Chef Jose Garces’ take on food from the Basque region (northern Spain) served in the Luma Hotel. Some of the stand outs on the breakfast menu were the Benedicto with Chorizo, Swiss Chard, Poached Egg, and Espellette Hollandaise, as well as their Pancakes which come topped with Stone Fruit, Sangria Syrup, and a Canela Whipped Cream!

Maison Kayser is your go to if you are craving carbs (and lets be serious, who isnt?) and perfect for the holidays, they are serving Chestnut Bread! No matter what its going to taste good, but if you are lucky enough to get it right of the oven, then your day is going to be made! And for those not in the bread mood, don’t worry, they have plenty of other goodies to choose from!
