How to Make Bloody Finger Hot Dogs for Halloween
Bring a pot of water to a boil.
For the fingernail, slice down the two sides and across the top, then curve the cut at the bottom. Carefully remove the piece for the nail. They don’t have to be perfect!
To make knuckles, cut a slit in the middle with two curved slits above and below. Now duplicate that right below it.
Boil the hot dogs for 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Squirt ketchup into a hot dog bun.
Use a butter knife to spread it around the inside of the bun.
Add the hot dog into the bun and then spread a little additional ketchup on the bottom of the hot dog.
Serve these absolutely terrifying hot dogs! Enjoy!
Can you make these hot dogs in advance?
You can prep the hot dogs by cutting the details on the fingers ahead of time! Once carved, store in the refrigerator in an airtight container, good for 3-4 days. Just don’t cook them early—hot dogs taste best served fresh!
